Tried iboga rb two times. First time it was around 8g soaked overnight in water consumed with plant material. Got no result except for heavy stomach - the powder is real tough beetsch. Second time consumed the remaining amount of around 12g. WEIRD. Almost no result again except for some distinct awareness of an unbelievably powerful entheogen, a Leviathan of mind-altering substances. It's hard to explain but regardless of almost no perceivable effect I clearly understood it's a mammoth. Reminded me a bit the planetary-strong feeling of a high dose of rue though on an intergalactic level.
It was over a year ago and until now I have no desire to try a higher dose of it. It's not even fear, rather pure awe after just a glimpse of this monster. Needs DEEP respect.

Here is an intresting read about how ibogaine is overhyped as a cure all for heroin addiction, when in reality it usually doesn't work, and often costs a lot to get the treatment. On a side note, don't take too much, it has killed people before. http://www.heroinhelper.com/sick/detox_nightmares_part_2.shtml

That is the show that piqued my curiosity about ibogaine. Very cool stuff.
Thanks for all the advice, particularly about respecting the substance -- something I think is very important for all entheogens, but I will take extra caution if I do try ibogaine.
I think I will order 4 ounces of the rootbark and move up my dosages, albeit VERY carefully.

After seeing that I thought to myself "occupying the consciousness of others", I have experienced the same thing with people when using ayahuasca, mushrooms or lsd, and did so using uncontrived natural methods attained through use of the drug, even when I was no where near the people I was thinking about. Im not saying I knew what they were doing at that time, but I recognized how what they say and do become a part of me, And learned about them using that realization among other more unspeakable ways. That guy certainly did get the royal treatment(and it was not even a very high dose). Iboga does seem like a hallucinogenic monster. Totally different than the other potential monsters.

Just a fair warning - there is concern that ibogaine is neuro-toxic which has resulted in no more human testing being done in the US.
