The King, the Prince, and the two scrolls

Once, there was a great king. He had a son, who he loved more than antything else in the world. One day, the king decided it was time to school his son in the ways of the world, for the Prince would one day inherit the world.
The King had two scrools of ancient wisdom. One was about peace and the other was about war. The King, fearing for his son's safety and wanting to give his son the real world perspective, gave his son the scroll of war.
The Prince read the scroll of war, found it clever but boring. So he returned it to his father's study. Upon returning the scroll of war to its place, he stumbled accross the scroll of peace. The Prince read this scroll and was fascinated by it. It filled his heart with inspiration and joy, and the Prince vowed to live his life according to its teachings.
When the King returned home that day, he asked his son how he liked the scroll of war. The son replied: "The scroll of war was good, Dad," holding up the scroll of peace, he said, "But I like this one better."
And the father looked into his son's eyes with such love and respect. He knew right then and there, that his kingdom would be in good hands.

Shadows grow so long before my eyes And they're moving across the page Suddenly the day turns into night Far away from the city but don't hesitate 'Cause your love just won't wait hey Ooh baby I love your way every day Wanna tell you I love your way every day Wanna be with you night and day
Moon appears to shine and light the sky With the help of some fireflies I wonder how they have the power shine shine shine I can see them under the pines But don't hesitate 'cause your love won't wait hey Ooh baby I love your way every day Wanna tell you I love your way every day Wanna be with you night and day uh yeah
But don't hesitate 'cause your love won't wait I can see the sunset in your eyes Brown and grey and blue besides Clouds are stalking islands in the sun Wish I could dry one out of season But don't hesitate 'cause your love just won't wait hey Ooh baby I love your way every day Wanna tell you I love your way uuhh Wanna be with you night and day Ooh baby I love your way every day Wanna tell you I love your way uuhh Wanna be with you night and day

Yes...and?
-------------------- "A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Too bad he didn't realize that both doctrines are part of the same scroll.

always, with everything
some have called me a pessimist. But I prefer to think of myself as an optimist who gets disappointed a lot.
