This Doesn't Look Good!

I've recently observed a casing tray on it's second flush. Small loaf pan: first flush was healthy and nice.
This flush only four-five mushies came up...One very large and the others smaller. One out of the bunch didnt grow much and began to turn GREEN! This cant be good.
-Does this mean that the casing is contamed. within? the surface appears to be healthy?
The othes that are growing from the same casing are looking great...are these possibly screwed?
wish I had pics to clarify....but if u guys can help me out it would be great

I've been searchin through the FAQ and I cant find any solid info on determining if the inside of the casing is fucked. How the hell could you possibly tell: unless you broke it all up and examined the insides?

Just leave it alone. If another mold is the source ofcontamination, it will make its way to the surface very soon, provided it wins over the desired mycelium.

So are you saying that any mushrooms that have no apparent contam and look healthy are OK....regardless of a contamed shroom from the same cake?\

I'm certainly trying to be safe here...would anyone else be so kind as to share your insight...Is Azure correct in assuming that I have little worry unless I see mold surfacing...or could there be some nasty shit hidding in the casing!?

first of all calm down a green shroom to me sounds like a bruised shroom... possibly not enough humidity..... its most like not contam... just chill out and trip, if you have some weird alergicc reaction hey it must have been contammed.... but honestly it sounds to me like your being a little to paranoid unless it was green mold and not a greenish tielish discoloration

You said something about them stopping during the fruiting cycle. They probably just aborted. Aborts die, and they turn a bluesh, sometimes a greenish color. Especially the caps, might look black after a while. They are safe to eat, unless they are really ugly and rotting looking :/
Just dry them out, keep going like normal, and if anything comes up, you'll see it, and you'll know NOT to eat them. Also when your done with all the flushes, just open up the casing and make sure it looks good inside still !
