I dont think those are active, as Xzibit said, there is no blueing whatsoever, and the actives that don't blue (the ones I can think of) don't look anything like those
Can you give a picture of the gills? What exactly did they grow from in the cave, dead wood? And what state?

Yeah, they're not subs at all. The caps are too bowl shaped, with lines running down them and the stems are bruising brown. The dark edges around the cap could indicate the mushroom is digesting itself as seen in the Shaggy Mane mushroom - could belong to that genus.
Potentially poisonous.

would the fact that they were found in a cave have anything to do with the mushrooms eating themselves?

Maybe, the edges look kind of rotted away.

I was looking through my mushroom guide, and in my noob opinion*, those mushrooms look similar to the Tubaria furfuracea :

Both have similar features and share those definite radial lines, the T. furfuracea usually have that white stuff along the edges, maybe all that black stuff on your mushrooms is just that, but decayed?

Not sure, my book doesn't say what bruising color..
I think it looks like its in the Tubaria species though, these look pretty similar

It looks like a coprinus species, as thosemynikes said. Not active or a worthy edible. They are also known as inky caps.
The blackish mark on the paper is probably a mixture of the inky substance from the gills and spores. Usually spores take a while to drop.
