for awhile i fealt like i truely understood the world. Now its like i've smoked it all away, ive had teachers tell me im a one of a kind genious after relateing my beliefs on existence. Now im stuck on one idea, its all that matters, happiness can only bring pain, and there is no middle ground, my question is what the point of doing anything is, it is fair to say i'm somewhat depressed, and im not trying to brag with the earlier statement, I just need clarity though, its like i dont understand anything anymore

Maybe you should read into the 4 noble truths if you hadn't heard about them. You're right but that's only one half of the spectrum. Existence is suffering... that's correct fundamentally....
http://buddhism.kalachakranet.org/4_noble_truths.html
Look at what's being sold on TV a smile with every toothbrush and shiny new car. Look at the people who are actually brushing their teeth and driving their cars, are they happy? No, not for very long.
Society puts up a falsehood through media that life is very enjoyable, but this enjoyment is dependent upon material gains, hanging out with friends, "punking" people, getting laid, getting high and drunk, etc.
But then what happens when those things don't make you happy anymore? And what happens when they NEVER made you happy?
Part of the reason it's hard to accept the mundane existence of this reality is that society deliberately hides you from it, deludes you into working like a machine thinking that happiness is in the next thing you buy and the next time a pretty girl talks to you.
Then you see through it, you realize it was all BS, and it creates an extreme sense of nihilism in you ......
But the nihilism is only hinting at the bigger picture... what that is is hard to say... but happiness is a state of mind where you have severed all attachments, desires, cravings, and delusions.... where you can just sit down at peace doing nothing at all but sitting down and being in peace..... and the Buddhists are pretty dead on about that kind of stuff.
Then every thing you do is interesting and "new" when you cultivate enough mindfulness.....
not the easiest of paths no, but it's something to look into. I'm not trying to sell the religion of Buddhism, more just their philosophies on the inherent unsatisfactoriness of LIVING and their solutions to that problem.
and what do you mean you smoked it all away... literally, have you been smoking too much herb? Because it will give you great ideas for a while until you burn out and the ideas stop...... or just metaphorically?
Well be careful and treat the herb with respect if you do use it.
-------------------- I am the MacDaddy of Heimlich County, I play it Straight Up Yo! ....I embrace my desire to feel the rhythm, to feel connected enough to step aside and weep like a widow, to feel inspired, to fathom the power, to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain, to swing on the spiral of our divinity and still be a human...... Om Namah Shivaya, I tell you What!

If you try to feel and just be whatever you are, while doing something, that is the point in and of itself.
I like to be in my room at night when my house is silent, light up a candle and meditate on it. Good stuff. There is a peaceful calm that comes about by watching an ever-changing lightsource. It can encompass your entire focus.

sounds like youre letting your emotions spiral down... your believes/theories on existence and so forth were based on rational thinking. but at the moment you dont sound rational at all, instead you sound emotion, and emotional thinking is never rational. clear your head to look at things the way they really are, and find out what you have to do to clear yourself of this rut in which you seem to be in.

Your lifestyle probably contributes to your depression too. The first and foremost issue would probably be meth, as it is very powerful and will fuck with your neurotransmitters severely (notably dopamine, which plays a crucial role in the pleasure center and your mood).
