Hippy Music! Any suggestions?

I want some music, that will remind me of a bunch of hippies in a field on a sunny day with butterflies and flowers having a picnic playing guitars.
If you know what I mean.
Im really digging all this, beatles, doors, byrds, jefferson airplane etc. I've been listening to quite a lot of it for the last half year or so, but I want something more like, tambourines and acoustic guitars and hippyish.
Im sorry for the stereotype. I love hippies. I want to hear their music.
Suggestions?

Simon & Garfunkel and Crosby Stills Nash & Young might hit the spot.

How the hell did I miss that one? Old Mama Cass is the exact definition of what that dude was talking about.
People are going to laugh- but some Monkies stuff is like that...
Like somone else said, early (67-70) acoustic Dead. Don't confuse it with their studio stuff of the time though, which is flat out fucked up and trippy.

I disagree. Allman is really not all that "flower and tamborine" hippy at all. At least none I can think of anyway.

What is hippy music? I mean, I listen to mostly jazz, and have traveled with phish and the dead because I love what they do. But I cant quite figure out why some people would differentiate jam bands from hippy music unless it was purposely to separate the two.
Hippies listen to both. Hippies listen to peter paul and mary, Fuckin jefferson airplane(gag me), the dead, phish, even herbie hancock, or medeski martin and wood. I am not what I would consider a hippy, maybe thats what differentiates me from some of the more opinionated "hippy music" fans. I dont like jefferson airplane one bit. Fuck that silly little pop song white rabbit and all the rest of their tunes(kidding, though im still not a fan). It certainly is hippy music though.
I mean if I was tripping I might pop in some art pepper, herbie hancock, some slower bill evens tunes, MMW, or nice phish mix. I certainly wouldnt be listening to Ween, and most of their fans are hippies. I guess what im asking, is what is so great about the term hippy music? I prefer what I prefer, but some of that so called hippy music is hardly psychedelic. SO what makes hippy music hippy music?
The dead was a jam band, and that is hippy music? Just confused about what some of you think is "hippy music". If it discludes jam bands, well then I guess I just dont understand the category.
STring cheese, yonder mT, and old and in the way, are certainly bands that are both psychedelic and are inspired by a folky or even hippy music category. Though the bands have entirely different sounds, they are hippy music, because their fans are hippies. I enjoy all three, string cheese does seem a bit contrived for my liking, but I have heard them do some amazing things. I dont listen to jam bands often. Phish is one band that can never have anywhere near an equal(any skilled band can cover a specific dead show). I know that because I love their sound, they are aliens, and I am a jazz musician. One of the greatest bands of all time for sure. SOme might not hold the same opinion. They are one of a kind, more so than you can say about any band in the last 60 years. They are extraterrestrials.
Allman bros are "not all that flower and tamb". and some of the members would kick your ass at the drop of a hat. Its still hippy music.
