Mono-tub + room heated to 80f = humidity problem?
    #5578336 - 05/01/06 06:20 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

I plan to heat a small room in my closet to 80F to accelerate growth. I plan to do mono-tub. I expect the air to get somewhat dry do to being heated by the radiater.

Do I need to do something to maintain humidity in the mono-tub? or will it be fine with just the polyfil?

Well, polyfill in the holes of your tub is a good idea. With a monotub the humidity should be fine as long as you keep your lid on... You MAY need to mist if you aren't growing it as one bulk substrate ( or a few smaller casings ).

Humidity is easy to come by, so don't fret.

Expect drastically lowered humidity resulting in your casing layers drying out when using dry heat like that.

I suggest running something like a wick humidifier in the room to help keep the room humidity up a bit. It will make a huge difference.
