my first casing

Ok, a friend of mine is gonna grow some EQ's and he is gonna case and has a few questions.
1. He heard when you incubate the trays that airtight lids are bad and it is better to just crumple tinfoil around the tray. Does it really matter?
2. The casing mixture is gonna be potting soil and vermiculite. Is there any other casing mixture that can blow this out of the water? Something a newb could use and doesnt have to be pressure cooked.
3. Do you really need to sterilize the casing mix? or is the mycelium strong enough to fend for itself? thanks guys

1) Poke holes in your foil
2) Use the 50/50+ mix, or coco coir. Both will blow that out of the water :smile:

3) You dont need to sterilzed the coco...works great
