Where would one obtain this naptha you speak of?

You could always use water, considering that the chemicals are present in such tiny amounts that water will extract them just fine.

Coleman Fuel, that's basically octanes (C8H18) or "purified white gasoline", the same thing. Remember: Naphta & this are flammable + volatile (explosion hazard) and they're TOXIC (poison) too. If you can get your hands on Organochlorine stuff (Tri, Tetra, Chloroform & such) AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! They may be just what you need for extraction, but it's all you need to get cancer, too... Be very careful. Some might reccommend liquid Butane (C4H10)... Have used it, can't recommend it due to extreme danger of explosion. If you like your skin to remain on your face: DON'T USE THIS. Coleman's just as good, it just evaporates slower. (ALWAYS evap outside!)

Goodness, please don't use solvents from a hardware store unless you distill them first. In the US there is no reason you cannot walk into a chem supply and buy lab grade. The stuff you buy in hardware store is the leftover crap from the bottom of the barrel after they got done making the pure lab grade version. Also, be sure that you have a method to remove _all_ of the solvent from your end product. Unless your end product isn't effected by heat, a vacuum source is another must. It is easy to screw up and think that it is ok to heat something like DXM.HCL to drive off the last of the solvent. ... and yes, I am a worry wart. I am very careful about what I put in my body.
