guyz this is my first time i am trying. I have 2 pint jars using the vermiculate and brown rice flour. I can say its been 10% - 15% done after 7 days! I keep the temp at 84 in a dark place. (and injected about 2 cc ber jar)
As I am aware it takes about 10 - 13 days for a 1/2 pint jar but how long does it take for a pint jar to be fully colonized?

If you want higher yields, forget pf and get some wild bird seed or other grain, treat same as pf, then spawn to poo.

ya you would get more fruits in the end,,, but why not use 2x as many 1/2 pint jars that way they colonize faster and have less chance of stalling, I have had pint jars that took upto 6 weeks

yeah ill do that! the reason i got 500 mls was becasue the shop i bought the jars from had only 500, 350, 200. I am assumin that 1/2 pint is 250? right? so i went for pints.
Do you think 200 mls are ok?

200 are ok of course... any size is ok (but the bigger you go the longer you have to wait and you risk contemination or stunned growth (due to lack of oxygen or dehidration)
don't be too anal about the size or the type of jar BTW you can use cheep drinking glasses and cover them with foil (works great) for PF... no need to spend money on jars IMHO

BTW its also better to start with more cakes (just incase) and usualy it's much more safer to make one "big" grow then constantly fruiting/incubating new jars!
i'd make 10 more jars (half pint) if i was you!

SIMSU you are absoloutely right! The reason i am doing 2 at the moment is because this is my 3rd attempt after 2 failures! Long story though!
(i was packing the substrate so took ages! specially they were pint jars. first time i threw them away after 2 weeks as there was no sign of growth at all. second time the same thing happened and after 5 weeks i can say just a lil bit of mycelium and it just stayed there! the syringe was fucked too!)
At first I had 6 pint jars and lost 3 and now incubating 2 to see the progress! (after getting my refund for the first syringe and also put the substrate in the right way and seeing a good progress right there! )
Yeah actually I may buy just small glasses! very nice idea! I am planning to get around 6 7 more next week and inject the last 6 cc left from my syringe!
