To make use of your minds to think conceptually is to leave the substance [of Mind, Buddha] and attach yourselves to form.
The Mind is no mind of conceptual thought, and it is completely detached from form.... There are those who, upon hearing this teaching, rid themselves of conceptual thought in a flash.... But whether they transcend conceptual thought by a longer or shorter way, the result is a state of BEING: there is no practicing and no action of realizing. That there is nothing which can be attained is not idle talk; it is the truth.
If you would spend all your time - walking, standing, sitting or lying down - learning to halt the concept-forming activities of your own mind, you could be sure of ultimately attaining the goal.
Only awake to the One Mind and there is nothing whatever to be attained.
This pure Mind, the source of everything, shines forever and on all with the brilliance of its own perfection. But the people of the world do not awake to it, regarding only that which sees, hears, feels and knows as mind.... If they would only eliminate all conceptual thought in a flash, that source-substance would manifest itself like a sun....
...To awaken suddenly to the fact that your own Mind is the Buddha, that there is nothing to be attained or a single action to be performed - this is the Supreme Way....

conceptualizing is a like a phase of birth for the expression of an idea, which if done with focus turns the expression of that concept into a physical action or "form" as was described above. yet the mind, referring not so much to the physical brain but rather the intelligence processing center called 'mind', itself is not a form itself but only generates understanding and harbors knowledgeable resources about such things. In other words, when the mind is free to purely illuminate upon that which you present to it we discover things that were certainly not conscious previous to that moment. Dali Lama writes well about the pure illumination of the mind, written from Buddhist teaching. The mind center is pure light which passes through what ever is presented to it, illuminating everything about it. Concepts are toys to the mind, trinkets for cultures that are unable to recognize their own ironies, and when you come down from the mountain after talking to the wise man your people review you for finding concepts hidden right before the nose. Still concepts are metaphors and poetic games useful for communicating to massive groups when your seeking new outlets, just don't expect any one concept to hold true forever because there will always be some young new construct ready to fuck up and revise the old one. One Mind makes for acceptance and consideration of new ideas, this is what you need to contact if any successful change in yourself is to take place; meditate on this
