The fluxlike film of life . . .
    #557622 - 02/20/02 04:19 PM (21 years, 9 months ago)

from "The Book of Secrets" ~ Osho
----------------------------------------------------------

The original mind is like a mirror: it is pure, and it remains pure, but dust can gather upon it. The purity is not lost, the dust cannot destroy the purity, but the purity can be covered up. This is the condition of the ordinary mind - covered in dust. Hidden behind the dust, the original mind remains pure.

Once you know how to uncover it, how to reclaim it from the dust, you have known all that is worth knowing and you have attained all that is worth attaing.

We become identified with the mind, with the dust. Our experience, knowledge, and memories are all dust. Regaining the original mind means regaining purity - without experiences, without knowledge, without memories, without the past.

Whatsoever you know is always of the past, and you are here and now in the present. 'Knowing' is purity, knowledge is dust. The capacity to know, the energy to know, knowing, is your original nature.

The Sutras
~In moods of extreme desire, be undisturbed.
~See the world as a drama.
~Stay in the middle between two polarities.
~Objects and desires exist in me as in others. So accepting, let them be transformed.

Amen. The title reminded me of something, this if off the post topic, however...
I often view things like im on TV. If something cool happens, i wanna preserve it. I often wish i had a video camera to record it. I know that no one will watch it, its just a feeling like if i was being watched someone would get that same feeling i get when i watch TV or a Movie...i often think "wow i wish i was there doing that" and i feel as thought maybe others will feel the same...When on some drugs, i felt like i was watching my life through a tv. I dont know whats up with it but its how i am, any ideas? maybe im searchign for something, or something.

Don't worry, as soon as we hack the brain you'll be able to let everyone experience exactly what you're experiencing, which brings up the following question: Would you experience your life if you could experience someone elses instead? If someone happens to find that interesting please start another thread or maybe I will. I don't want to hijack this thread. I'm not really afraid of that happening though as I doubt there will be anyone who feels like expanding on that thought.

Cool stuff. One thing I think about it though: Why would I want to spend my life being dead?

~In moods of extreme desire, be undisturbed.

That kind of sucks. I can see how it would be useful but that kind of thinking is for corpses I say. I'm probably not "getting it" totally, and tomorrow I might have different thoughts on it, but that's what came to mind tonight.

Once on DXM, two friends of mine, Chad and Odin were all laying down, we were all quiet, closing our eyes listening to music, i felt like i was inside my brain, looking at the source code, i was able to reprogram it at any time, but i simply looked at it trying to figure out how it worked. I woke up, with odin and chad getting up at the same time, and chad says 'tak i could see in your head' i was like whoa, then odin says 'i could see inside your brain' we talked about it for a long time, it was real weird.

We have previous experiances of thinking the same thing, we were a real close group of friends, we knew eachother in an out sober, and thought alike, however on DXM we would just ...know could pick numbers, cards, thoughts, and other things randomly. And i mean randomly, chad would say 'blue thirteen?' and i would be thinking about when i was young playing hockey with my blue jersey on number 13, a thugth i havent thought about in years, and he would know it. Weird stuff
