So you're converting them to wav's? How are you accomplishing that?

Yeah, Im wanting my MP3s to be in WAV format. When I used Nero it would convert MP3 to WAV when I added the files to the window. Atleast I think it would...Thats how I always used to do it before on my old burner.

i've had problems using nero since i upgraded from 5.5 (all cracked of course) like those things, and the 2 second pause is no longer removeable. i've used 2 different burners, and they always give me the same thing... i'm convinced it's nero, with something to do with it's trying to be efficient.

I just use winamp and select the songs I want to be put into Wavs and then I just change the output to where winamp will "write" the tracks into wavs. I then add the wav files to nero and burn away...

Your problem is that you have Nero 7. It sucks. Get a Nero 6 version and you'll be all set.

the only problem is kdelibs are a bit bloated, esp when running gnome. so i end up using command line utilities about half the time, k3b the other half

Easy CD Creator. The software came with my computer and always works fine so I see no point in changing. I use CDex to convert from MP3 to wave (I also use it for wave to mp3 and ripping songs from CDs).

I love using CD Burner XP Pro. It easily burns audio/data CDs/DVDs and can also burn or mount ISO files. It has a user-friendly UI as well. And best of all, its 100% freeware.

It's worth a try, check it out.

i had this same problem when i downloaded nero 7. it's a widespread well known issue with nero 7 that nero hasn't fixed yet. it's weird too because it doesn't effect everyone. it seems to just be random.
i found a fix for it that solved the problem by replacing a couple files. the work around fixed the skip but then i got a whole new set of problems where any track i'd add would appear 4 times longer than it really was. it's impossible to fit a whole album on a cd when every song is 20 minutes long, so at that point i took someones advice and just reinstalled nero 6.
so, nero 7 is a piece of shit. download nero 6 and your problems will end.

Nero 7. Use it extensively and never had any of the problems you describe. The newest version of EZ CD Creator is supposedly good as well. The people who suggest changing your entire OS for CD burning software are obviously retarded.

I use Nero 7 Ultra.
And if your description is complete then believe me, you haven't narrowed it down to the software. Even if you download something like Roxio and it works, that doesn't mean it's Nero. Maybe it was a munged driver in your OS that Nero calls but Roxio doesn't. Who knows?
Just download Roxio and use it as a backup for problematic tracks.
