do you moisturize your weed?
    #5575616 - 04/30/06 10:18 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

I was wondering do any of you add like wet q-tips or orange peels to their nugs.

Does moisture refresh dry weed? And improve taste?

We have a local conflict regarding this.

if its dry and crusty, i will put in in a pill bottle with a bit of orange peel for 6 hours or so, it always ends up fine.

this is a very GOOD THING TO DO. IF you do it right.

GET a cigar box with humitifier. IT WORKS AMAZING!!! The smoke is smoother, less harsh, burns longer, PERFECT

Exactly. Don't over-do it and it brings the fresh flavor back to the weed.

Plus it doesn't crumble into shake.

But there is plenty of reason to do it when you aren't growing and have to get your shit from someone else and it comes dry. Also dry climates like Colorado suck all the moisture out of your shit if you don't do something extreme.

I've yet to see mold in the last 3 years that I can remember

If there is mold then you have added too much moisture. Period.

Use a smaller piece of peel next time.

plus my friend here says that using Orange peel introduces a potential source of various foreign contaminants..

It can be alright. But the bottom line is, I don't wanna buy herb that is hydrated. Water weighs too much to be paying for. I will hydrate the shit if I want to, sell it to me dry, please, as much weight as I can get.

i like weed thats a little wet. like if it's too dry after it's cured for a long time, i'll add something to rehydrate it just a little bit. it smokes SO much better. same with cigars though, dry cigars are just nasty.
