Grain questions

I was reading some posts on here and I was reading about how you cant just fruit grain...Why is this, or can you????

you can. the think is they don't hold moisture very well, especially WBS. so if you add in some wet verm and case your good to go. i do this if i dont' have poo on hand.

Oh, well I didnt know this and just cased some a couple days ago. Do you think ill still get mushies??? They went in my fruiting chamber today.

id think you still would especially if you put a decently thick casing layer. anything to add water will do wonders. its just those littel seeds don't hold moisture very well.

mine werent WBS though they were rye grain.

You'll be fine. Grain casings work really well. They are no where near as good as grain spawned to bulk, but they work fine. Keep that casing moist and just wait patiently for the mushrooms.

Kool, I have been trying to keep it moist by spraying it every time I notice an area getting dry(a light squirt or 2 never hurt).
