Thanks!  There's a huge area of dead elms with nice vegetative cover in my woods, similar to the other area I get them from, that I'd like to try and introduce morels to, somehow.  Not sure how to go by doing this, but I may end up pouring the spore water directly in the ground.  Short on inoculation ideas for morels, I wish it was as easy as whipping up some spawn.

I've seen pictures of Morel cultivation but it was only done by people with Ph D's. I think spore water near a host tree is a lay-person's best bet.

Morels are mycochorrizial (sp) Right? Fruiting them must be incredibly difficult. Ive heard of Morels inexplicably popping up in peoples Flower pots, so theirs gotta be a easier way to fruit them somehow.

There is a pattented method of morel cultivation that is quite successful; it can be cultivated using burned wood/sand/misc. lignous matter in beds as well.

Might take a few years to see fruit, though.

add some sugar to that morel water and let it sit for 2 days before pouring it out. The carbs will get those spores active and will increase the ods of germination. Contams dont do well in uncontrolled enviroments so the mycelium will take over

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
