Mixing multiple spawn?
    #5571748 - 04/29/06 08:28 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

hey all
ive got a few jars layin' around. i was thinking about doing a little outdoor project. the thing is, these jars are different strains. i assume that the strains would compete for nutrients but isnt this what 'normal' spawn does anyways? my question is what would be the ramifications of spawning an outdoor bed with mutliple strains?

I have a graveyard of old cases. I just place them next to each other. I think that you could do it just keep them separate, dont mix them together, but near is fine...

you should be fine mixing it, all multi spore innoculations have many
diff strains and if you mix the jars nothing different would happen

the main thing is if you mix them you won't know what strains they are later if you care. if you don't then this isn't a problem. if you don't lable them if you have a more organized burial pile system then you'd also have this problem. if you plan to keep growing with certain main strains personally id do a burial pile for each strain. OR just go with one big pile/
