Well i got a coolmist hooked up to my martha. a few people including hippie chick said this would be totally fine for humidity, which made me happy since i had casings ready to go in the FC. Well it only got the humidity up to about 79% and sometimes even dropped it because of all the cold air it was pushing in.
I bought another coolmist today and hooked it up, as well as putting some treys of perlite in there. here are some pix:
and as you can see the humidity is dropping!!! it's only around 70 or so! i just put new batteries in my hygrometer. but i mean even to my hand it feels dryer in there from all the air! i just took away my second coolmist and hooked up my leaky ultrasonic. what am i doing wrong? and theories as to why my humidity sucks so bad are greatly appreciated!!!

ok so the ultrasonic was a bad idea, it is so broken, it melted all the tape, started to leak, and melted my hose to a smaller shape. idk it pumped some moisture in there got it up to 85 but i had to toss it in the trash. don't know what to do, the cold air from the coolmists is just making everything dry up. please help. thanks!

Don't know why you're having problems ? Have you checked that humidity gage . They aren't the best . You might want to salt test it.

Put a tsp of salt in a shotglass, add a few drops of water. Place shotglass and hygrometer in airtight container. After equilibrium, hygrometer should read 75%.
