check it! The rain will be coming florida!!! May will be/ should be a super wet month. Southern Florida needs it desperately.
ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT/gmex-ir4-loop.html (must use www, not allowed to link directly to gov site)
Notice how the moisture is being sucked down to southern Florida! Good Sign!

Thank you so much, that is exactly what I was hoping to hear!
The South Florida mushroom eaters are getting hungry.
At what part of May are we predicting the showers?

i'm looking at the latter half of the month.
But, a good way to tell, is if the overnight low temp is 70 or higher for 3 consecutive days. Dont worry, we should be up to our ears in mushrooms this year, esp. come June.

Yea, we have had a few damp nights recently and there is plenty of moisture near the ground in the am. Early May makes me happy

Yesterday (Tuesday) it poured rain all day. We've been waiting for days like that for a long while now. Today is looking really nice now...sunny, 78degrees, but the humidity is only 33% since the rain was the first day we've had it in weeks. Tonight might be a good night to head out! I drive by my field every day on the way home from work and last night it was really foggy and cloudy. The moon reflected off all the clouds, so you could see around you, but not very far. It would have probably been a nice night to check out things...but had college this morning. If you live anywhere in Cen. FL...I'd imagine it would be worth checking things out if its not a far drive, right??
