Yeah, you could say this belongs in the pub, but I don't know why video games cannot be seen as a serious art. To me that's snobbery at its worse...
I just started playing it the other day on XBOX360. I think it's a masterpiece. It has a compelling story line and its probably the most open ended game I've ever played. For example, you can walk around and pick up books and read them. A lot of work must of went into the game. I can just tell it was a labor of love and not just a mindless cash generater. It's total breathe of fresh air to videogames RPG's (and video games in general).
Oh, and I could go all day, but here's a cool example. You can create potions using an "alchemy" skill and actually harvest real life plants and mushrooms. For example you can pick Fly Agaric Amanitas and Mandrake and stuff. There are even Morning Glory seeds! (From what I remember there are "Steel Blue Entoloma Mushrooms" and about a dozen other real life mushrooms in the game.)

Yeah, true. I didn't play much Morrowind though. Remember Skooma and how people got addicted to it?

That's what I like about The Elder Scrolls series. On the surface it just looks like a pretty stereotypical fantasy RPG with elves and crap like that, but when you did deeper there are a lot of parallels to real life. Like the getting addicted to Skooma thing. Also in Oblivion, the Imperial City=basically Rome (and in essense America) before the fall.
And have you read some of the funny as books with sexual content and stuff?
