Anyone know the dewpoint for 95-100% humidity? Im just curious cuz Im wondering why Im not getting condensation in my chamber, and its scaring the hell out of me. My hydrometer says 97% humidity. The inside temp is 74degrees and my room is 69.7 degrees, so Im hoping its the even inner and outer temps. Thanks

If you have 95% humidity and 74?F, and you assume the glass has the outside temperature of 70?F(unrealistic), then you must see quite some condensation.(theoretical relative humidity at glass of 116%) If you assume that the temperature of the inside surface of the glass is 2 degrees colder than 74?F, then the relative humidity at the glass would just be 102%(according to calculation,) which means there would have to be some condensation to bring the relative humidity to the maximum possible 100%, but very, very little if at all visible.

the dewpoint (condensation) is the temp at which saturation occurs (the relative humidity reaches 100%)... rh is directly related to temperature, the warmer the air the more moisture it can hold before reaching the dewpoint and the opposite holds true for colder air. i have a chart of the approx. dewpoints for various temps at home... i probly couldnt know em all off the top of my head... ill check when i get home and post tomarrow but as an estimation: if you have it at 74 degrees F and 97% rh the dewpoint would probly be something like 70 degrees or so...
-------------------- i wish i could give out my thoughts let someone else feel them and experience who i am its difficult sometimes impossible always impossible? i hope not
