many many weeks ago i threw some grain that wasn't fully colonized outside... i just dug a shallow hole and mixed the grain with some unpasteurized cow manure that was kind of mixed with dirt and a little bit of wood chips. well after a few rains that happened in the last week--------

central florida...^ ; ) i have found a few mushrooms growing on some fields around here already. i had spawned the grain from my out door mushrooms a good while ago and they just decided to come up! it's that time of the year again! i even grew some outdoors from a retired PF cake during the winter?!? with very little watering and very low temperatures, often freezing during the night...
i figured con tams would get this out side patch since i had spawned the grain(some of which was uncolonized do to dehydration) to unpasteurized manure... huh
the mushrooms are very short and thick.

That is so awesome. Good stuff. Plan on doing something similar sometime, because I would like to hear how this works out on a larger scale.
