Reishi Night Trips ! Wow !

I have now heard two amazing stories about the learning/teaching dreams that happen when you take a lot of reishi. One was a woman (now a friend) in Alaska who told me that one day she decided to make a strong thermos of reishi tea in order to get rid of a cold. At 8 am she ground up enough to make between 3/4 and 1 cup of unpacked mushroom. She pre-heated the thermos with boiling water - then dumped it out. Then put the ground up mushrooms in the thermos and then put about 4 cups of boiling water in it, capped it. She drank the first cup at about 2 PM and drank the other three throughout the day finishing the last one at 11 PM when she went to sleep. The said that she had the most amazing dreams - not just amazing but therapeutic and overall very beneficial. She said that all night long there was someone narrating !!! and explaining all sorts of things to her about all of her major relationships. She said that the voice was saying things that she never would have thought of. When she woke up she was in awe of what had happened. She was so impressed that she brewed it up and again and the second night (all night) the narrator went over her careers - including suggesting that she would have made a good physical therapist. SHe did this for 4 to 5 nights and stopped in order to "digest" all of these new insights. She felt that she had had decades of therapy just in these few nightly sessions.
I asked her if she felt that the narrator was actually her subconscious and she said maybe - but that s/he mentioned things that she did not think she would have thought of. Also, it was NARRATED.
The other person was a PhD/author of a book on medicinal mushrooms who had written about having a similar experience. I tracked him down in order to get his story. He basically said that he felt that all sorts of stuff that needed working out form his past came up. He did this for a full month ! He felt that he had decades of therapy. He said that he took 3-5 grams in caps(1/2 fruiting body- 1/2 mycleium)near bedtime. I think that they had been "heated" in an autoclave. feel that the heat is necessary.
Both reported feeling much clearer about these things that were worked out. The Taoist and Buddhist monks apparently have used reishi in order to become calm and focused. It has been described as a "teaching substance" by those interested in spiritual development. It is also can make you feel calm while awake. He did not mention that is dreams were narrated as hers were. Maybe the amount she took as a brewed tea was stronger or had a different effect than his. Of course, the other difference was that she only used fruiting body and he used a combo of that and mycelium.
I think it ws Mirth posted in goumet and medical mushrooms that he drank only 1 strong cup a day and after three days he said he flet like the cobwebs had been cleand out of his brain - something like that anyway. But he did not mention the dreams. His dose was much less.
I am going to try this myself. Has anyone had this experience. If you do try it, I would love to hear how it goes.

I believe it. When I made the decision to grow reishi I dreamt about them all that week. That's quite a reaction for something that didn't take up much of my waking thoughts. Right now I'm warming up with an easier species but the spores are in my fridge so it's only a matter of time. Let us know how it goes. I'd love to have ten years of therapy crammed into two nights.
Just FYI, you dream more in the morning, so make sure you can sleep in really late. Sometimes it helps to wake up early and lie in bed for awhile before falling back asleep. My dreams are always more vivid and memorable if I can do that.

its even better to like us and wake up but move around for about 15 to 20 minutes (somepeople say couple hours but theres no difference to me) and heres the part tha really does it, write down the dreams you just previously had before you wake up This is also good for obtaining lucid dreams

I tried that the first couple of times and couldn't get back to sleep. Instead of lucid dreams I'm up early on a weekend. But I'm a bit of an insomniac, so that could be my problem.

Even if you didn't dream you should try writing something about dreams. Write down old dreams or make some up. After a few days of that you'll have plenty of real dreams to write down. At one point in my life it took me three hours each morning to write them all down...yeah, I didn't have to work then.
