calling her a wolf is giving her alot of credit.
too limited (mind) to be given the honor and dubios distinction of wolf.
I have seen often how great patriarchs lead families astray with passion and pride.
It's the power of any man I suppose to become alpha of his breeding ring. This can be good, and it seems rare for such alphas to be crippled by religeon or hindered by their own shortfallings.
perhaps it is that alpha status that grows with the fervent activity asscotiated with survival against a serious disability. Even a spiritual one.
You have enough kids and be the center of their upbringing and you can't be wrong. look at god.
My grandfather-in-law was such a man. He was devout in his youth and was lead by his church to associate snakes with satan. He nearly extripated rattlesnakes from canada single-handedly. He once dropped a goat in through the roof of a masonic lodge in session. ANYWHO. later in life he (for reasons i wish i was privy to) came to the realization that it was an unforgivable thing hi did to nature and spent his later years a driving force in desert conservation. (theres a national film board of canada movie called "pocket desert, confessions of a snake killer about him)
He is (posthumously) revered by his family like a god, The conservation societies revere him as a pioneer. And evrywhere you look he left a part of himself. A great man.
fred phelps is an example of a man revered to as a god. ANd he made mistakes. but he just never saved his soul from the wolf in sheeps cloathing, which i like to call pride.
see how the girl was incapable of awknowlaging her OWN sins? not just in denial, but literally unable to respond. thats because this god-like man who was the center of her families life, never led by example how to judge thyself.
These are the men that become great. WASTED on the leftovers of a social nessesity of the dark ages. LONG corrupted by ambition fear and hatred.
Maybe I should become a great man. without having lots of kids. but reaching out to other people and showing them the product of a carefully refined soul, one that wasn't built with directions.

I had a much different Christian upbringing.
My parents taught me that God is about love and compassion, not hate and ingorance. I was taught that forgiveness reigns over judgement. I was taught to do unto others. Basically, I was taught the virtues of TRUE Christianity, not this Baptist fundamentalist crap, which is basically Hate masquerading as Love.
