religion is really just a "philosophy of divination". whether you agree with religion or not, just about every religion has some wisom attainable from it which can help better the lives of people. idk im not in the mood to debate this at 340 am. i guess as long as you can love one another and treat people with respect and try or wish to make the world a good place to live, you're good in my book.

Neither of these ladies is crazy. Really they were only quoting the bibble. It was funny because everything that lady on Hannity was saying was stuff that I bet Hannity secretly agreed with. I think his only problem was with the shit she was saying about the soldiers. The lady hasn't had as much on-air experience as Hannity, so he took advantage of this to demonize her, as though her beliefs are somehow less crazy than his. Using the bibble as the absolute basis for ethics/morality, all of her arguments were valid. The Trading Spouses lady was no different; she just didn't stop to think of the implications of there being cameras.
Every single person in both these clips are people who believe in magic; they're just having a pissing contest to see whose magic is more bullshit. Such is the history of religion.

yeah, you've got a good point. he did kind of make her look like a dumb ass. which she is. but the bible says alot of things that if you didnt take into context, would oppose what it's ultimatley saying. sodomy may be a sin to the bible bumpers but i dont think gays can help theyre sexuality anymore than a heterosexual. because if that were the case im sure many "gays" would be "straight." and a big part of the bible is based on respect, this lady shows no respect but for her self righteous views. if we cant respect what other people can't help, then whats the point of respect? they did kind of antagonize her because shes so ignorant though. i feel bad for her, looking like an ass on national TV. atleast her and her 100 count clique of her people can bounce back on eachother though.

What reasons did Hannity give that the woman was nuts? That her church isn't affiliated with any "mainstream" Baptist church, and that there are only 100 members of this church? That doesn't prove dick. "Mainstream" preachers (Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Benny Hinn, Paul Croutch, etc.) have been saying the same things, just slightly more sugar-coated, for decades. I don't think this woman is very far removed from the contemporary Christian mainstream at all. Hannity got spooked because he saw himself in the mirror.

i think its funny that the media just took the step of legitimizing the self-appointment of the martyrdom aspect of this ladies faith. MEARLY to self appoint the martyrdom aspect of its (collective/corperate) own nationalatity.
It's like whenever gas prices go up, the media starts pulling fringe lunacy out of Uncle Sams top hat to show what now? whos a bigger martyr? Jesus? Dead Soldiers? brainwashed inbred potitical movements? the NEWS guy?
It's getting to be so SANE people are running paranoid that crazy people are out to get them.
NO WONDER WERE DAMNED!

The Westboro Baptist Church is basically a cult. Even Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson regard them as perverts.

The kernel of Christianity is the man and example of Jesus Christ. This woman is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Does she seem at all Christ-like?

The only difference between a cult and a religion is the person doing the labeling. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson regard the TELETUBBIES as perverts...I mean, what is accomplished with all this insanity? All this over a 3,000 year old book?

Fundamentalist Christianity will fade away and die, but its living kernel, the Christ, will remain in the Jungian psyche through history.
This madness, these mean-spirited people have nothing in common in Christ. That is the irony that is being over-looked here.
And the Gospel of Jesus is only some 1800 years old

There has always been a difference between Jesus Christ and Christianity. Jesus was a cool guy (if he existed), and displayed an attitude worthy of emulation (though I take issue with some of his teachings/actions), but I don't see the point in believing he went around casting spells on people and driving out demons and walking on water and all that bullshit. Sounds like something that lady would say.

Jesus is the example of the Awakened man, whose awareness of the Pleroma of God was perfected. I do not take stories of miracles literally, rather they are metaphorical food for the soul.

jesus was a jew, you shouldnt worship him. worship his god, the god of abraham if you're a christian. we should seriously just forget about christianity as a religion and keep it no more than a following of jesus's teachings. which it sort of is just based more so on the idea that jesus is something that we have no idea about. all we really know is he was a perfect example of one who does good. and we should embrace people who follow in his foot steps, but jesus was not a righteous asshole. christianity is based on hypocricy.
