I can't even get seeds to sprout. I got them to germ, but couldn't get them to sprout. What kind of dysfunctional shit is that? I mean, that's just fuckin retarded, I feel like a real goon now.

Know one cares here. The moto here is, "let it grow".
Just keep trying. Maybe the sprouts dampened off from to much soil moisture. Plants don't like it soggy. Just a little moist. Seedlings are no exception. Unless thats the kind of habitat they grow in....

list of known failures:
failure to not use peat pellets failure to not know about the proper amounts of moisture in the soil or how to go about determining that (still don't know that)
And that's pretty much a great way to flush money and time down the drain.

Knowledge is always the key to any venture you set fourth on. That and accepting failure and moving on. Arm your self with patience and knowledge and you can get it done.
I was never a fan of pete pots, but then again they do work. I would soak them then squeeze them out

not a big fan of peat pods either.... did you try the paper towel method? because i find it harder to work with. i find it easier just to sow some seeds in good ole soil, or maybe leave in water for 24 hours and then sow. the reason i dont use the paper towel method is cause i hate having the tap root and having to touch it after sprouting. it just seems like it hurts the lil ones

The first time I grew stuff, I was about 12. I grew bell peppers. They turned out pretty good, I even hand pollinated them and got some fruits. Maybe you should try growing some tomatoes? They are damn easy to grow frrfrm seed and damn good, mmmmmm mmmmm

I wanted to grow all kinds of beans and peppers, and some cabbage. Beans are a real bitch though. It'd also require several hours of garden clawing to break up the ground for the garden plot. And I should start a compost bin too. And when I go fishing I'll throw the bones and guts and scales in there. In reality, this will all end up as me slacking and ending up with 2 scrawny ass jalapenos and a couple green bean pods growing against the back wall of the house.

Dumbass man. Just by a 2 dollar seed starter tray at wal mart. Fill it with a good potting soil like the good name brand. Then just put yur seeds a 1/4 inch under the soil (no matter what the package says) and water it good. Put the lid on the seed starter tray and put the tray in a south facing window or under a seed starting flouro light.
YOU CANT FUCK THAT UP.

Don't put fish guts in your compost or you will have undesirable mammals digging through the pile and causing problems.
