I was just wondering how many people partake in Shrooms for Spiritual purposes? How often do you shroom?

I'm alway a little amazed that many people here do not partake of hallucinogens. I mean the only reason I can see as to why people come here who don't partake is that, the people who do partake have much more to say and are more interesting (scary) then the rest of the population.

I used to do alot of hallucinogens a few years ago. Shrooms, peyote, salvia, etc. But Ive found that meditative methods offer far deeper and more stable experiences, realizations and insight than any entheogenic substance Ive encountered thus far.

The main reason i come here is because i have found that most people involved in the use of sacraments generally have a more open attitude toward mystical/spiritual aspects of life. Although of course there are some exceptions to this.

Of course to each his own path. No one can say which is the best path except for him/her self. I know people who have gone further (as far as I can tell) with plants then any meditators I personally know. In the end it may come down to dedication to the path and courage to explore whatever you are shown. I myself in my later years am feeling the inclination to work more with breath and meditation and drumming then with the plants. But they will always be there if need be.

I agree that at the very least  the plants etc. tend to give one a broader view on what is possible.

Drumming! That's awesome, I try to drum every day, or at the very least, a few times a week. It's very nice. Prajnayama is also very powerful and effective. As is dharana/dhyana.

May the force be with you!

Thanks brother.

S. Grof a therapist who used LSD back in it's legal days developed a variation on (IMO) Rebirthing style breathing (along with sound (drumming) to enter into the shamanic state), when LSD became illegal. If you haven't already you should check him out.

Oh yeah, I read "The Adventure of Self-Discovery" about a month or two ago, and I have one of his other books too. Holotropic Breathwork is very powerful indeed, it is very much like a psychedelic experience, only without the psychedelic.

I remember he mentioned drumming in the book but I don't think he went into much detail about it.

Do you have a djembe, or what sort of drum?

or what sort of drum?

I just got a Bodhran. (I'm new to any serious drumming) I also listen to shamanic drumming tapes. The best I have found is called Shamanic Journey Drumming by spirit passages.

Re: Declaration of Sacred Right [Re: redgreenvines]
    #5569981 - 04/29/06 12:06 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

The Declaration of Sacred Right

We the people of the United States of America, declare the rights of man so dutifully implimented in the very foundation of this great nation to be the cornerstone of the next great awakening. The documents which declare our very liberty, livelyhood, and happiness have been established in great honour and truth under God. Sincerety is the fragrance of our love for our freedom. A sincerity sealed in the bloodshed of a most important revolution. These truths sealed by that very blood, by the sweat and by the tears of the great and noble forefathers we musn't allow to be merely forgotten. We must stand!

Though it is test of great difficulty: in these times of great peryl, we must stand strong and more willing than the enemy of oppression, so that we may honour the blood of our fathers that flows in our veins. We must be prepaired against overwhelming odds to refine and purify our governship with an unwavering dedication that is worthy of the blood that was shed to insure the liberty and hapiness of our posterity. I ask you, will we be remembered as a generation that stood in the face of danger to preserve what we so genuinly know to be right, Or Godforbid we be cursed by our posterity as a generation of cowards? These times call for the bravery of revolution.

Our most sacred institution, the very founding of western democracy, (not limited to but including most influentially) the Constitution of the United States of America, The Declaration of the rights of man, the Magna Carta and the Bill of Rights are not to be compromized by a tyrannical administration of deciet, greed, and overt militarism.

We the people it has firmly been established will work to overthrow any form of government that goes against our sacred rights: Though not with physical force, not with violence and not with terror, not with coersion of a sinister variety, nor with any trace of hatred in our hearts unless it be most effectively utilized to call to an end these fourscore years of oppression. We must (starting with ourselves) abolish these tools of darkness that wage war against illumination. So that our rights so duly established will be preserved in a peaceful manner as it is in the best interest of mankind. Within this great nation we must bind together as the members of one body that we once were to rid our midst of the disease of intolerance based in ignorance. We The People of this great nation will not tolerate the dangers of tyranny which threatens to jeapardize the future of our great country. Tyranny from abroad and more importantly within our midst. A democracy by definition of individuals shall have our rights undiminished, and our liberties unimpaired, to insure a future of no comparisson. The foundation of none superior is pure TRUTH and LIBERTY. Therefore we must gaurd ourselves, against this evil that threatens the fate of our beloved country and actively work for the common good soas to avoid prolonging what will in the future be called an age of great and dreadful darkness. An age that dared to put in danger our sacred Right to Liberty.

In this very day we are met with decsision. [long pause] THE decsision of utmost importance. Do we fight against oblivion or do we sit passively and watch as everything which has been created is slowly and systematically destroyed before our very eyes. Granted there are many troubling issues on our agenda which we in no way and by no means will be compromized by. To insure truth we do believe that the substance which we are righteously founded is a substance worth more than that which corrupts. Through this faith in strength we will find an end to weakness. We must understand: our shortcomings are tied inexorably to our victory, it is a central formative factor of our future triumph, unless we ignore it. Unless we attempt to push our failure behind a veil and continue onward towards destruction. To do so is to accept defeat, all can see the veil is truly transparent, to all but the blind. In the intrest of mankind the awesome power of the human mind WILL NOT BE reduced to a state of defeat else all forms of evil are allowed to exist. Therefore anything which encourages a lack mindfullness must be (on an individual basis) greatly struck down, so that a new purer vision may be held by all. We SHALL stand for OUR GOD GIVEN RIGHTS. For we the upholders of truth, stand not in darkness nay. We bring the greatest illumination to rid our nation and our world of darkness. This is the only means by which we shall be preserved, this is the time of our salvation brothers and sisters. This is the Entheogenis of God.

Since the reighn of Richard Nixon (King James) the United States has been courting a most sinister relation with the abyss in the form of endururing ever decreased (but not deceased) liberty. WE WILL NOT HIDE THE FACTS ANY LONGER. By the devine sacrament of every form of GOD, the truth must no longer be a secret; for this we believe is the cause of all other sin. WE DECLARE: At this very moment vast amounts of resources are nievly spent in continuance of a massive prohibition greater than any before witnessed in the history of mankind. A Prohibition that simply does not work. A prohibition against OUR VER MINDS.

Proven ineffective against alcohol and it likewise has been a failure for all other substances, it has failed for the United States and the world as a whole, and it has failed in the holy eyes of Christ. It will not continue, and to be fooled into believing it will, is to follow satan into the confusion of his cold and sinister darkness: nevermind a blatant denial of fact.

WE MUST NOT DENY THE WILL OF GOD, OR BY HIS HAND WE WILL PERISH. And it is for that reason that the inhibition of liberty must be unfetteringly abolished. The rate of crime due to a war against our own civilians is only on a trend upward. AND IT MUST END. Through faulty legislation enormous cartels of illegal crime have unknowingly been financed, and the only way to remove their power and influence, which is undermining our great society, is to financially destroy them. With legalization of the Holy Sacrament: the devine manna, soma, teonanactl We declare that a more sensable policy that is economically productive be implimented. Do we fear unity? NO We welcome the unity and enlightenment that is to be brought about by the vegitable fruits of holy sacrament delivered to us by God. THIS WE DECLARE TO BE TRUTH AND LIGHT IN HIS DEVINE PRESENCE. WE DECLARE that this terrible and uneffective prohibition undermines the very LAW OF GOD AND WILL NOT BE TOLLERATED.

Any laws which undermine our constition are not laws but tyranical decries, and they must be cast out in the interest of preserving civilization as we know it. All laws which undermine the law of GOD must be rid of. Not for the fear of man who is weak and lowly, my brothers and sisters (for in our greatest shortcoming have allowed the ultimate abomination in the eyes of God by making illegal the sacred mushroom, and other sacraments illegal. We have called what is the holiest of holies in the very ark of the covenant (Hebrews 9:4) a sin. THIS MUST NOT GO ON FOR FEAR OF GODS WRATH.

IN CONCLUSION: We the people of the United states declare that all sacraments of religion regardless of blood to be legal as they once were for all of mankind, in the interest of preserving freedom of religion and personal liberty. May the peace of God be welcomed in our minds and hearts as this entheogenisis dawns. No matter what, WE will go on.

The adversary's greatest fear, his abolishment to the abyss, is apon us. The darkest twighlight leads to the brightest dawn, so be strong my Brethren for the liberty of God will be restored and we shall once again be embraced by that what is most divine: GODS WILL AND IT IS DONE. May God have mercy on his lowly servants, Amen and May the Spirit within move you to ACTION.
