these a good size for the colonized substrate to go into a casing? or should i break em in half once more?

You bumped your post in just over half an hour. I personally broke mine up a little more than that, but it was only my first time casing... I think the smaller they are, the more even the pinset

yes, sorry about the haste. ive got work in just under an hour and was hoping to get thecase done so it has all evening and night to sit and resume growth.
