first time help

My friend just birthed his first cake into a terrarium. Its about 75 degrees with a noticeable amount of condensation on the walls. He fans it about three times a day. He noticed a lot of fluffly mycleium growth on the top of the cake but nowhere else. Its growing out all over the top and is starting to form little pea size balls. Are these pins. Its been about 5 days since in the terrarium. When should I expect pins? Is there anything to do to help make the cakes better.
