Mine is for a 30gal terrarium. Its much larger than my first one for a 10 gal tank.

The 30gal pump is nearly 4*5*6 inches (H,W,D)

On my first try I used a 10 gal pump and noticed that the shroomies were much larger nearest the air inlet when compared to ones farther away. I concluded that it must be an airexchange probled to the larger pump.

Yea, I'm pretty confident that the puny 2nd and 3rd flushes were do to the loss of water. Should know more soon ;)

Well I guess I'm stuck with a 10 gal pump. If I fan 3 times a day and have the pump on 24/7 that will be fine right? Guess I'll have to save up for a bigger one.

Jeelix,

I would try it anyway without fanning and see what happens. Just run the pump 24*7. If you notice increased shroomy growth nearest the air inlet with a gradual decrease the farther away you get from the inlet, then start fanning.

My only concern with fanning is the introduction of contaminents.
