wbs problems
    #5563927 - 04/27/06 06:01 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

after recently switching to wbs from cakes i am having tons of problems. i have birthed about 20 qt jars without a single fruit. can i simply case a bunch of wbs and commence fruiting or did i miss something. i seems most people use it to spawn hpoo but thant isn't an option right now. so i figured i'd learn wbs and just case it for when i am able to spawn to hpoo. but my casings never fruit. i am using 40-40-20, verm peat coir, plus some lime. i have had success with this casing and all other factors identical with regular brf cakes cased. ie incubation temps and fc temps/humitdity/lighting all the same. my problem has been they won't fruit and eventually after like 2-3 weeks they get contaminated. is it me or wbs doesnt fruit on its own?

usually they aren't just "birthed" i use it to spawn... the problem is that wbs doesnt hold much moisture compared to a cake... try taking the wbs and crumbling it up, soak it, then case it w/ verm/corcor. we used to do this with rye and it works but not as well as poo. (you could also use straw, its cheap free if you look around for some, and no PCing needed

The most I've gottn as cakes is a shroom or two. Use it as spawn to horse poo or straw. IMO best shrooms or off horse poo.GL
