pressboard & humidity

if one was doing a stealth grow in an object made out of pressboard, would you have to worry about the humidity in the air destroying it or creating a breeding ground for bacteria? my brain says yes but maybe someone knows something i dont?

**is there any kind of paint you could use to prevent this?

yep.  its called anti-fungal paint.  when used properly will create a surface inhospitable to molds and bacteria.  a quick google search should fill you in on the rest, and you should have no trouble finding it at a local hardware store.

Or, enclose the mushroom part of the operation with plastic sheeting to keep the humidity off of the wood, which is mandatory. Wood will grow trich quicker than anything.

Do NOT do it in the wood, if you plan on doing more then a grow or two. After a few continuous grows, even painted and lined with plastic, youll run into problems a few months down the line. For a temporary setup though, you can do the plastic (or a tarp).
