Pretty much the same as WBS. Keep topping the container off with water until the grains no longer expand above the water surface.

I like Rye much more, it seems more forgiving.
And is seems to hols moister more evenly then WBS.
I rinse the hell out of it before and after PCing...
Unfortunately I have not settled down to just one way.
My last batch was very good, I steeped the Rye in hot/warm water for about 12-16 hrs.
Then bagged and added a little water, depending on the size of the bag.
Then PC about 1.5, they where large bags...
So I dont know other then practice practice...

i thohyught simmering was to let the grains soak up there water..as to soaking for 24 + hours which does its own soaking..i thought simmering was to force the water into the grains..

The Rye I use is Feed rye, and it seems to have a very hearty husk. So, I add premeasured amounts in my jar (240 grams of rye to 200 ml of water) then put the lid on and let it sit over night for the endospores to germinate, then I load them up and PC them for 60 Min's. After the pressure drops, open up the PCer and shake the jars after inspecting for cracks, to evenly distribute the moisture.
