There is cobweb mold growin im my newly germinated L. Williamsi pots. I put some H2O2 in the spot where it was growing but how do I eliminate it? I put the soil in th eoven for 2 hours at 375 degrees to sterilise it and now I get this. Should I sprinkle some limestone over the surface? Keep spraying with H2O2? help please, I dont want my babies to die.

soil may have been sterile, but the peyote seeds aren't. CM will germinate on dead seed husks, PARTICULARLY if even slightly overwatered. The H2O2 sounds like a good step, should even give your peyote roots a little oxygen boost as long as you dont go overboard. Dilute peroxide is actually beneficial in moderation to many life forms that depend on oxygen. Its fatal to spores, imperfect fungis, moulds, and bacterias tho. cobweb will not be a concern if the soil is dry. If you can fight it iff for a few months (watch after waterings) then your peyotes should be OK.
the soil for germinating must be free from organic matter if you hope to have to threat of cobweb. sterility will only go so far. Good air exchange is key as well. If you live in a humid climate, it may not be nessisary to keep the seedlings covered now that they are already germinated. I find they do well enough In the open air as long at they get a misting once in a while.

that makes sense, The cobweb appears right where I planted a seed. Is that seed dead because of the cobweb mold? The cobweb mold covered about a 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch area right were the seed was planted.

Leave the plant in fresh open air for a couple days. The seedling will survive, the cobweb will not.

not in the next 5-10 years he doesnt.
and as for those ungerminated seeds....
thats where your cobweb mold came from.
they are most likely dead.

so i take it it would be a good idea to pasteurize the soil and clean the seeds in some dilute peroxide before attempting to germinate?
I use equal parts of perlite, vermiculite, and coir. Then I sprinkle lightly over that a very thin layer of sand. I set my seeds on the sand and gentley press them into the sand so that the top of the seed is still visible. Then I missed the whole thing with water and keep it warm at 80 degreeds and under a compact flouro.
I have never gotten the cobweb.

i wouldnt worry about bleaching the seeds. cobweb will probably only become a problem if they arent viable anyway. just do what you would do and look out for problems

I think I want to build a PMP setup for cakes but use it for cactus seedlings. Ill either use a couple tubes or compact flouros. In my exp compact flouros are too strong for seedlings.
What is the perfect amount of lumens for a peyote seedling? How far away should the light be?
