Hiya folks
I have a Dirtbike for about a year but the chain is coming loose a little. If I do a donut or something tight turning it will come off. I found a website that told me how but I'm still unsure how to do it. Maybe I'll take pictures if you wanna show me exactly what to do. I was thinking you take the wheel off them move the chain with it? I also heard a website all you do is tighten something, but it didn't really say anything clearly.
I really don't know. Pictures would help me if you can find a website with some, I never really found anything, even in bookstores.
thanks for the help

Hmmmm. There will be a mechanism for tightening that chain. If you drive it with loose chain it will wear your cogwheels(not so sure about that name).
Usually you need to loosen your rear axle then tighten or loosen those bolts that set the chain tightness. If those bolts cant tighten it enough, you need to shorten your chain. New chain would be good, old chains wear cogwheels. cant really say anything more on this matter without seeing it. Don't put it on too tight either, that will be bad too.
I think if you study it a bit you will see how it works and be able to tighten it.

yeah zenith knows, theres a bolt and nut on the rear swingarm. u gotta loosen it up and slide it back, till u have a certain amount of vertical travel in the chain. probably like a inch. but check the manual for the exact spec.

There'll be an assembly like this on the rear of the swing arm..

Losen the axel nut then adjust the chain tension using the adjuster bolts. Consider buying a new chain and sprokets, they don't last for ever.
