Throw them onto a screen and blow them dry for 24-48 hours then finish them in a desiccant chamber...
or by a food dehydrator with an adjustable thermostat.

BUY/FIND/BORROW................
An American Harvest (NESCO BRAND) dehydrator. (one with a heat regulator control dial)
They run about $45 (new 4 tray type) at any big/mart.

Load, set on 95F & forget it - for a day.

I use something that we already had around the house. It's a Hunter air filter, takes a small cartridge, is about the size of a shoebox but a little wider. It blows filtered air out the top. Did the job on 31g wet in 9 hrs. If you're looking for desiccant, google "drierite" (US$8/LB). This stuff creates a -100??F dewpoint environment. It doesn't get much drier than that without creating a vacuum! Make it into a coffee filter pouch and store it with your goodies in an airtight container.
I'd use all eight of your silica gel packs in the jar. I use a heaping tablespoon of DR in my pouch. You also might want to consider baking those crystals at 375?? for 20 minutes, it'll recharge em. No tellin what state they're in, could be full. (Edit: You need to find a way to turn off that heat. You only need air) GL, M
