I played the original today, after a solid half hour of trying to find it online.

It isn't nearly as cool as I remember :frown:

I tried to ford it, but some people drowned. Then, I got cholera. Then, the rest died of fevers.

Of course its not as good....look at the games we have now. But not having the concept of what games would one day be like made that game awesome.

Yeah, it's a nostalgic gem though. That was back in the day when we gave our shop-rite reciepts to the school so they could buy Mac's cheap

lol you reminded me of it, and man was it some fun shit. It was hard to get a seat for a computer with that software back in high school. It was oddly enjoyable untill all the new gnerations came out.

Friends and I got stoned and for some reason got nostalgic about the game. We popped it in, installed quickly, and played a game with everyone's name as people in the party. It was ridiculously fun.

Duke Nukem 1, 2, and finally 3D for the win!
It's remarkable I made it through Jr. High what with how much I played that game

Used to play over the telephone modem with friends, or over the null modem at my very rich friend's house who had more than one 486 ... networked!

Then about a year later I found one of the first "lan centers" in Los Angeles where we played Duke 3D with more than two people, as well as Shadow Warrior.  The place was called MATRIX (long before the movies made their debut).

Can't forget about the Total Entertainment Network either!

Only tetris is as cool as I remember it being.

And I don't think at this point in my life I could be excited about buying a wagon wheel.

Hehe. Actually it doesn't always for me anymore. At that time I credit much of my euphoria to Oregon Trail rather than the weed

OMFG I used to LOVE the Oregon Trail!!!

I'm sure it'd suck to play it now though.
