Pasteurizing Poo, a Smelly subject?

Hey guys.. like I've mentioned in a few posts recently I'm moving in about a week into a new apartment located above a restraunt. Since I'll have the added privacy I'm planning on some bulk grows. I also just found out that a friend of mine recently purchased a horse, and she's more than happy to provide me with more than enough poo to last me a lifetime.
Now the question is, when I pasteurize it, how bad is the smell going to be? Like I said, I live above a restraunt, so the last thing I want is to hear people getting nauseous downstairs from the smell... it'd draw undo attention and more importantly be extremely rude.

As long as you don't overheat it (like about 180) and the poo is properly aged and leeched to Begin with. Smell is not an issue. Oven bags are my favorite to pasteurize in. You can smell anything during pasteurization. I notice just a slight smell with the pillowcase method. But it's not noticeable outside the kitchen..... until you forget to check on it and over heat it...then it will REEK.

Hmm, ok. I'll ask her to start grabbing me a few bags to be kept outside and aged in the sun. Hopefully that'll give me a head start.

SHe should pile it up where it will be rained on and in the sun. The rain leaches it and the sun dries it out. After lots of proper leaching and drying it should be fairly oderless. Even if its not, it still doesnt stink THAT bad...theyd be more likly to smell a joint or blunt burning..if they wouldnt smell that, you should be good.
BTW, drawing unwanted attention to your grow of illegals is way more important then being rude

When I pasteurized my poo I used the oven bag method and there was no smell at all. As long as it is leached and you don't get it too hot I think you will be fine.

Hmm, well, since she doesn't own the stable, I'd probobly just be grabbing a few bags of poo and then taking them elsewhere to leach. Would that work? Am I looking for something specific? Can fresh poo be used or should I just leach what I can find?

Fresh h/poo is shit.
Weather aged h/poo is the shit
Fresh h/poo needs to be weathered (exposed to sun/rain cycles).
Until it no longer has a shit/piss smell. When ready for use, it should smell about like garden soil.

I'm thinking I may just order a sack of tennstud. That way I'll be able to see what the good stuff looks like before I go out on a limb and try to do it myself. Not that I won't, I just wanna know exactly what consistancy I'm looking for before I mess around.
Thanks for the advice guys!!

As said above, aged horse manure is odorless. Look for piles of straw and manure near stables. What you want is the stuff they piled up last year. A year of sun and rain will render it perfect.
Be sure to collect the manure on a very dry day when it's been dry for long enough to ensure that what you collect is totally dry. If you bring damp manure in a bag into your apartment, it will mold. RR
