I've heard people suggest you could explain away the hotbox as some sort of hand warming machine, just make sure the vapor whip is well hidden!

basicly vapes like vaperbrothers use a soldering iron to heat up the air which in turn heats up the weed. all you need to do is creat a stand for the iron and then create a way to keep air in close to the iron. im sure a glass tube with open ends would work well for this. then take a plastic hose or something and create a way to keep the weed in it and be able to hold it close the the soldering iron. all you have to do is suck on the other end.

thats more or less the premise of a vape. im sure a creative mind could create one out of supplies found at your local wallmart

good shit, yall have all convinced me. instead of the 4-hose hookah i was looking at buying, im gonna cop either a vaporbrothers or the aromazap and try to cut out smoking all together. blunts, ciggarettes, all of it.

i didnt realize they were that much more healthy for you. any negative effects from vaporizing?

what negative health effects (if any) are still present from vaporizing weed?

is that arozamap a good vape for stealthness? it looks like a wooden box with some ornamental thing on the top. i can't really tell. it would be handy in case someone stumbles upon my vaporizer, in which case they wouldn't know it's a smoking device.

Indeed, it is an Aroma Therapy device afterall.  That "flower" attachment, is actually a conductive reservoir that will heat up, thereby allowing the essential oils (one of which is included with a purchase) to effuse into the atmosphere.  Kinda like non-burning incense.. I had this thing out on my desk and turned on, seven days a week back during my college years (I still keep it turned on 24/7, I just don't use the aroma therapy flower anymore  ).

The negatives are far less than that from actual combustion of plant matter.  In my experience, the most irritating thing is simply that if you draw too fast for too long, the air you inhale will be quite hot (~ 280 - 380*  F), which can in turn irritate and possibly damage your epithelial tissue. Of course, this is also a risk when you're smoking. Additionally, there is still some particulate matter in the vapor that is certainly not healthy for your lungs - however again, this is a much greater risk when you are actually smoking the product. Lastly, and unique to the vaporizer, there is some question of metal ions being 'scuffed' off the vape stem on the aromazap, however this is largely unsubstantiated speculation - and given that the ZapMan uses 100% lead free solders and the screen and heatport are made of stainless steel - this risk is minimal if not harmless.

I don't think so - depends on personal preference really. The zap is a tiny unit about the size of an 8oz beer bottle. It has a long cord so really you just hold it like a beer and bring it up to your mouth when you wish to take a hit, or a "swig" if you will. You could rig up a flexi-hose if you wish, but given the relatively small size of the bowl - I wouldn't bother since it could in effect dilute the vapor and thereby reduce the relative "rush" that one experiences in using the unit. If you really want the hose, run with the Vabor Bro's - it is a fine product too no doubt, but I still love my Zap to the max, and for personal use I find it more efficient than the VB :spliff:

  thanks.  i think im gonna go with the vaporbros first that i can share with others in my house to avoid smoke in the house, and then ill get a zapper for my bedroom and personal use.  aromatherapy is a plus, im sure chicks dig that smell more than what my room would normally smell like... beer/weed/my dog

Yes, I also suggest VaporBros. I couldn't go without mine. It will take a week for you to get comfortable with it, but once you are, you are hooked.

Mine has the hands free. I just leave the whip attached and toke the end when ever I'm ready.

Just bought the Vapor Warez Hands Free Vapor Cannon. It was the only one i found to have a hands free at no extra cost. I read this thread last night, and i jumped aboard the train, and spent most of my day researching vaporizers with my roommate, and made the purchase which should be here by friday. Im excited!

You won't be disappointed. The Vapor Cannon is pretty much the same as the Vapor Bros.

Just crank that baby up to about 11 or 12 o'clock and wait a few minutes before you toke.

Let us know if you like it.

i use a vapor bros and i love the thing. like people have mentioned above just set the dial to about 11 or 12 oclock and let it heat up for about 10 minutes. while you are waiting grind up your stuff fairly well. remember the finer you grind the more increased surface area you have for the hot air to move over which means more thc per i would asssume. however since you are sucking essentially a powder towards a screen if it is too fine you will decrese your surface area because the powder will compress too much. Because of this i find it best to just grind your stuff up a little vape that. take the remains grind it again and vape that.

when hitting just draw smoothly and slowly. if the hot air bothers you take a sip of water before or during the hit. it helps alot. also give the vape about 15-30 secounds between hits to get back up to proper vaperizing tempatures.

alot of people including myself tend to notice that the you get more "high" as opposed to stoned when using a vapes. i find that rather nice, however sometimes i do like being lazy. i remember reading one time on overgrow that if you take the material you where going to vape and grind it up then stick it in an oven at around 200-220 farenheit for about 45 minutes it does something to the chemicals and makes you more stoned then high. btw those tempatures might be wrong but since overgrow is gone its kinda hard to check the thread.
