He is going to use a rye spawn, my dog has never made shrooms, but he has a yard full of san pedro,, anyway ,, has anyone done this before? what are youre remarks? any downsides? he's hoping to get good results from this method , please guys and gals help the poor stupid new dude in on the inner secrets, i have searched the faq and couldnt find much on this method thank you

ok guys just one more question, i am worried about heating this tek doesnt call for a fancy terrerium., just a rubbermaid box, will the biological workings inside keep it warm enough? do i have to worry about moistier too much? will a heating pad underneath help? just need a few ?'s answered and ill have enough cajonees to try it,, thanks

From what I know the heating pad's a bad idea - it'll cook the substrate. What's the ambient temperature average in your house?

I noticed that the tek requires rye spawn and a 22 qt. pressure canner. My cat has 30 quarts of innoculated birdseed, can he use this method? He was planning on using a 50/50+ casing method with peatmoss/vermiculite/oyster shell. Which method will produce more, and with less hassle?

um, my house tends to be have cold spot during the winter , I live in SouthWest new mexico , and when it warms up, then ill have to figure how to keep them cool. that be another test of will , i guess ill just use blankets , and it that doesnt help ill figure something our

COOL ANOTHER NM CULTIVATOR! Anyway, I use an aquarium heater, it keeps the terrarium @ approximatly 28 degrees celcius. good luck!
