Simple PC question for those with 18 quart PC's

I have a 22 and 23 quart PC right now, both old and seals no longer work, and I cant find somewhere that sells seals for old PC's. Anyways, its rated at holding 7 quarts, but if you put two or three on their side on top of the 7, they fit 9 or 10. The 18 quart PCs are rated for 7 quart jars too, but will they hold 9 or 10?

Sorry, I don't have an 18 quart so I wouldn't be able to help you with your question.
But have you found that the "clumping" of the WBS in the jars is a lot worst (side closest to the bottom) when you lay them on there sides and really pack the shit out of the PC?
This is what has happened to me every time I've tried fitting in an extra jar by laying them down on there sides.

Drat...
I have no issues with jars on their side, clumping more. I do remove them when hot and shake them, and I do shake the hell out of them. Combined with proper water content and some verm in the mix, I dont have any issues. Thanks guys.

scatmanrav, if you have a Mirro 22-quart, you can find those seals on Ebay no problem. My Mirro 92022 has had it's seals all replaced and works good as new.

The only working one is a Magic Seal Number 21. I looked for a seal and couldnt find one.
BH..your 22 quart will fit some jars on top right? I'm looking at a presto 23 quart now...

That 22 quart fits 36 Half Pint Jars, 20 Pint Jars, 7 Quart Jars, or about 4 totally full large spawn bags. It does not fit two layers of quart jars. For $75 I think it's a great deal:

I cant figure out how these fit so many, I thought they were 22 and 23 quarts. One only fits two on top because of the lid shape, the other fits 3 though.

I am not sure what you mean, scatmanrav. I was talking about the 22-quart Mirro holding ONE of the following, not all of them at once:
36 Half Pint Jars 20 Pint Jars 7 Quart Jars 4 full large spawn bags (approximately 16 quarts)
As you can see, if you use spawn bags, you can pack about double the loading versus jars, but that'll be true no matter what cooker you get.

What I'm saying Blue helix, is I have a 22 and 23 quart PC..older ones..one holds 9 jars, one holds 10 jars. They fit 6 around, then 1 in the middle...upright quart jars. Then you can put 2 or 3 on their side on top of the 7 (depending on which you use). They are RIGHt up against the lid but dont block the hole...have you ever tried squeezing them in or does it just look like it wont fit? I mean they say inside hieght of a 23 qt PC is 11.5 inches...a quart jar is only what like 7-8 inches high? And 3 inches wide or so means you should be able to at least queeze in one or two more quart jars on top. I know you usually use bags, so maybe you just havnt tried squeezing them in?
