I was thinking the same thing.

It's cool that animals and plants are living there. Also kinda cool that the radiation is protecting them.

The reason why plants and fungi do best is because they just cant get cancer.

Wildlife defies Chernobyl radiation

i'm not saying that plants and animals are more effected by radiation that are humans, i'm saying that with enough radiation, plants and animals will die too. that article says the same thing. It may talk about how there is a resergence of animal populations due to lack of humans but it also says:

"Four square kilometres of pine forest in the immediate vicinity of the reactor went ginger brown and died, earning the name of the Red Forest.

Some animals in the worst-hit areas also died or stopped reproducing. Mice embryos simply dissolved, while horses left on an island 6km from the power plant died when their thyroid glands disintegrated."

its not a black and white issue. plants and animals may be more resitant than humans, but radiation is still detramental to them.

I wouldn't consider it a black and white issue either i was just pointing out that they prove to be more resilient.

yeah, i really liked it. Its quite funny but at the same time, its very emotional. I dont want to go into the plot too much but its about cultures crossing, the importance of the past to understand the present and future, what happens vs what could have happened, and much more. Very good film, you should def check it out.

Its better if your a russian speaker , that way you'll understand the more stubble humor and cultural nuances.

I notice that at least one person saw the "Ride through Chernobyl" site. That the one where the daughter of one of the scientists took pictures of the site and rides through there on her Kawasaki... Ahh, I found the link.
