Is this a contam?

I'm pretty sure this is a contam, but I decided to ask just in case. It's growing a lot more rapidly than the pure white mycelium I have. If it is infact a contam, can anyone help me figure out what it is? It's on Five of my jars, and it's the same exact thing. This is my first grow and I guess the tip of the syringe somehow got contaminated, because I mostly followed a sanitary procedure, but I was in a rush to get things done and in a generally stupid state of mind so I wasn't as careful as I should have been. Here is a pic, with a pic of a jar with normal-looking mycelial growth on it for comparison. It's been about a week and a half since inoculation:

Looks like either cobweb or a wet spot--your syringe could have been contam'd if you used alcohol or heat to sterilize. That's not myc., for sure.

Thanks a lot, this kinda does suck, though, but hey it's a learning process.
PS - Do you think it might have to do with the fact that I didn't cover with tinfoil while incubating? I took it off after I inoc'd

Maybe, but I would agree with the first assumption that the needle introduced the contam. I take the foil off of my jars after inoculation, and cover the holes with band aids by cutting the sticky tape part off of the sides of the band aid. The benefit of using band aids as opposed to tape is that band aids are sterilized and remain so until open. Less chance of contam.

I always remove my tinfoil when I am in my clean room preparing to inoc, once its removed I alcohol the tyvek filter then inoc and cover the injection with micropore tape.
I do not replace the foil to incubate. I have had 0 contams in jars outside of my one bad try at a g2g.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll put some tape over the holes or something, I've got an extra syringe, so I guess I'll dump the contam'd jars and redo it, hopefully with better results.
