I'm not sure if you mean pull it out of it's holster, or just unconceal it, but if the latter is the case, then you may be wrong. There are a lot of states where open carry is legal. For instance, Philidelphia is the only city in PA that doesn't permit open carry.
It probably does vary from place to place but I've known of people who got into big trouble with cops solely because someone saw the outline of their gun through their clothes and told a cop. You really need to be careful with that shit if you have a cwp and are carrying.

I carry a glock. Unless it's concealed without a permit, or you take it in a place with a "no guns allowed" rule, then it's legal. You can carry it on your belt. (well, where I live anyway) But just because I carry one doesn't mean I'm gonna go on a killing spree.

all i know is it varies from state to state. Nj you have to have a gun in the trunk and the bullets up front.
But in other states you have to have the gun up front and not in the trunk.
Then an other state has the three side arm rule, where it must be visible from three sides.
In Pa, you can carry it in a holster on your belt as long as you got the pappers to carry.

carry laws vary from state to state. over here in the souf you're hard pressed to find a state that doesn't allow open carry.

Here, (NC) you can carry it without papers as long as it's visible. Fully loaded if you like. Carry it in the front of the car loaded if you like. (Just warn the officer before he approaches the car if you get pulled) All you gotta do to carry it concealed is be 21, and take a couple day class to get a permit.

Legal in most states. Municipal level is where you might run into some trouble.

Pick a state and I'll link you, or check out the links debianlinux provided.

the Richmond way........
Ya know what? im sick of that bullshit. Bangers make me sick. I tired of having to be aware of every single thing thats going on around me when i need to get somewhere after dark. Having to constantly look behind me, change my route whenever i see a group of more than 4 i my path, and walk by gang tags on my block.
My brother was jumped 3 weeks ago a block from our house by 4 wannabe badasses who he said were in like probobly 10th grade.
Im getting out of this shithole as soon as i can. Its depressing....really.
I remember a couple years ago. A buddy was staying at my house and we walked to the park a few blocks away to smoke a bowl at like 11:30 or something. We walk up and its crawling with cops.
It turns out there was a gang shooting earlier. It happened during a little league game or something like that A dude got shot in the back and killed. Just because of what he was wearing.
I want to move back to the city i went to high school in.
