The rain has been kind...
    #5551946 - 04/24/06 06:33 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

Good afternoon... Cooler weather and a few showers have inspired a late fruiting...

Subbs abound...

(Stem focus)

Plus a couple of pretty inactives (or latently active, I suppose)...

Panaeolus semiovatus...

Either S. semiglobata or P. merdaria...

Thanks. Deciding whether to harvest some or wait until more fruiting... Depends partly on the weather I suppose.

Pneumonia? Hope you get well soon, eh. I was actually in Reno recently and I didn't spot a single fungus...

Thanks Eris. I've been a bit out of practice with the camera since it was missing for nearly a month... It's good to start taking shots again. It's really quite odd. All of the subbs are found within an area 10 feet in diamter... With the exception of one small, largely unsuccesful patch about 100 yards away, I have seen no others anywhere in this region. The patch is on top of a small dam, about 15 feet from water, and usually subject to a mild breeze.
