Hooking up frozen pizzas.

Its really fun. Take a frozen cheese pizza and throw on all your favorite fresh toppings and cover it in shredded cheese.
I put my meat on raw in tiny chunks. I like to use hamburger, sausage, onions, black olives, bannana peppers, fresh sliced baby portabellas, and a 3 cheese mix on top.
Put the meat bits on the top of everything because you want them to have access to the most heat and the juices to run down over your veggies .
Its a lovely thing.

I do that all the time! You have to trick those things out. Alot of people think frozen pizzas are garbage but that's just because they don't realize they're fully customizable MMM, jalapino and pineapple w/any pizza meat!

Haha.. no doubt about that! I've been doing this since I was in Jr. High and lived off some cheap-ass 99 cent "Celeste" personal pizzas. Unfortunately, those pizzas were so crappy that if you put too many toppings on 'em, the crust would buckle in the oven since it would dry out too quick with respect to all the fresh new ingredients you added on top. If this happens to you, consider letting the entire pizza thaw before putting it in the oven, using a baking sheet, cooking at a lower temperature for a slightly longer period of time, or ultimately using less added topping material
Sorry for the gigantor pic's.. they're from October of 2003 when I was going to college in Santa Cruz, and I'm too lazy to resize and format these since they're pretty clear and centered to begin with
Added toppings include jo standard brown button mushroom, black olives, chopped white onion, sliced scallions, pepperoncini, garlic, oregano, and some of that delicious Lotte's Scotch Bonnet "Barbados Style" Hot Pepper Sauce, which is just fantastic on any pizza or sandwich

If the frozen pizza is done right, it can be quite the rival to homemade or even delivery. I tend to stay away from frozens due to the super high sodium and fat content.
But mmmm. So convenient.

Oh yeah awesome. I dont like celeste at all. I use a jacks and havnt ran into any buckle problems. I believe this to be because I use a pizza stone.
I like doing this better than ordering any delivery in town.

I went out and bought a frozen pizza after reading this, I'm making the pizza for later, not hungry now after eating codienes. Got some fresh tomatoes, peppers.
What brands of frozen pizza does everyone prefer? I like digorno, freschetta, but they are too expensive. Any good tasting economical brands? Mystic is ok, but the cheap pizzas usually have the cardboard-like crusts.

I like them cardboard like crusts. Love Totinos Party Pizza. They were 75 cents when I was a kid.
Seriously though you should check out the non frozen ones. They sell them in the deli at most grocery stores, they have previously frozen meat on them but the vegetables are never frozen and the crust cooks up nice and crispy.
They sell them for cheep, like around $6 or $8. $5 for an 18 inch cheese. They are great for leftovers.

Totinos is great in the Toast-R-Oven.. gets a nice light crispy crust. Can't believe that didn't come to mind along with Celeste, as I actually consider myself having "graduated" from Celeste to Totinos at some point during the later half of my high school career

TRUST me if YOU have thought of something it has been thought of before. Totinos give me heartburn bad though but I always eat them.
