I found these on my lawn in Toronto after the three day rain. I was wondering if they were psilocybin?

Appears to be a common coprinus. Not active.
Next time post the required info in the rules thread! Not all collections are as easy to identify on pics alone!

They are not Psilocybe mushrooms nor do they contain psilocybin/psilocin. They look to be in the genus Psathyrella.

I agreed with Eris on coprinus, then I saw baycafe's post and could see them being psathyrella as well. Especially given that snappy looking stem I think I would lean towards psathyrella. But of course, yet another ID request with no required info makes it tough to judge.

I guess most coprinus mushrooms have the striations down the cap?

Some of them do.

One of the features I don't see that is common with a lot of Psathyrellas is the hygrophanous two tone drying style on the caps. A lot of them start out dark brown and dry to tannish color. A lot of the ones I find out here develop cap patterns like this as they dry out - the lighter color expands in time to take over the whole cap.

Psathyrella was my first instinct as well, but if you look closely you can see that the gills are not attached to the stem. Definitely Coprinus.

Im with eris on the corpinus by the stem color and cap shape and striations.

coprinus mushrooms often split length-wase up the stem like yours have. psathyrella stems are often thinner and more viscous. not a 'fool proof' indication, but a good one in helping discern between coprinus and psathyrella genera. and of course the fact that 'coprinus' is sometimes used as an adjectve to describe mushrooms whose caps turn black and melt from the gills out..
