recommend some good jazz (electric piano)

yeah, I already know about coltrane, thelonius monk, and miles davis.

I'm looking for jazz that is a bit newer and more focused on the electric piano. Something dark, complicated, and trippy. If you ever heard the piano solo on the Portishead track 'Only You', then that type of sound is exactly what I'm looking for.

I'd appreciate your recommendations, as I am new to jazz in general

I'm not sure if the music of Amon Tobin actually counts as jazz, but I think some of it, this track in particular, pretty much fits the bill of what you've described.

dude, i been looking for the same exact thing. reading that i was thinking about telling you to check out portishead, specifically that song... the electric piano solo in it is great.

let me know if you find anything good.
