FOAF is very new to casings and has some contam questions.

1. He noticed a casing that had a good first flush, no signs of contams at all. On the second flush, there were some aborts that turned blue and GREEN, and about 7 or 8 bigger fully-developed guys. The stems of the ones that developed had green specs on them, like freckles.The freckles came off when he scratched his nail along it, taking off a tiny sliver of the actual shroom. Is this contamination?

2. A lot of the fully developed shrooms have started to rot at the caps. It starts off as a little dimple and works its way into a big hole in the cap upon development. Is this a sign of contamination?

1. sounds like mold my freind.
2. are you making sure that water is not dripping down on top of your caps? the rotting could be from this.
