I've been reading through this site, and I started to wonder what the most potent mushroom would be that I could cultivate indoors
I've read some shit on here that say Pan Ausi and Pan Cyan are extremely potent

Pan Cyans kick ass. Very potent. Some have successfully cultivated Azures indoors, which are hands down the most potent, but they are very troublesome if not grown outside.

If you haven't grown Pans before, I'd pay close attention to the threads from the guys who've had good success with them. I've been growing for a long time now and haven't been able to get a decent pinset or flush yet. I'm not going to say, "Don't try NEWBIE!!! ", but I will say that they need a little extra attention compared to cubes. Good Luck!

Here is a chart to reference in terms of species and their respective potency.

Why spend so much effort in that when you can grow ten times as much cubensis with 10 times less hassle :P

That chart says that Cubes are more potent than Psi Cyans and Weilii. I don't know about that. The Psi Cyans I've had blew cubes out of the water in regards to potency.

all u guys are wrong. psilocybe cyanescens(wavy cap) is THE most potent mushroom on earth, then come its...i should say relatives such as azurescens, baeocystis, weili, subs etc. it can be cultivated but it is VERY difficult to do so, especially if your cultivating them indoors and/or not in the PNW location, where they grow wild. if u want to try go ahead, but its gonna be really tough, mostly because u need wood chips. read about it in the advanced cultivation page.

I'm with r2 on this one. Why bother with these difficult to cultivate strains, when you can get massive harvests of potent cubes with alot less effort?

Wrong. Kind of got lost in your post, considering you forgot capitalization, had fraction sentences, forgot commas, and such.
But this statement Quote:
psilocybe cyanescens(wavy cap) is THE most potent mushroom on earth,
is incorrect.
Azures are the most potent. Cyans are much higher than cubes no doubt, but cyans aren't more potent than azures.
I'll search for the link. Having misinformation flow around is the most annoying nuisance ever.

cyans can be cultivated in zones 5 through 8. Not living in the PNW does not make outdoor cultivation more difficult, living in the right hardiness zone is what determines your success.
Indoor cultivation of Psi. Cyans IS difficult, but it can be done. Starting an outside bed is the easiest way to cultivate wood lovers and their cultivation is almost as easy as a cube grow. It just involves a different substrate, more patience, and a hidden patch of ground.

My though:
The ones who keep taking about potency would not enjoy +5 level experience. They think they would but the ones who truly been there know it's a journey best not be taken lightly....
Their a spice among spices...
So then why the need for more potency, I dont know, I have had no problems with cubes. Maybe I am a light weight but I can get where I am going.
They would be fun/challenging and enlightened to grow, but my crop will always be mainly cubes.

For the experince ...Lol...Good point I guess...But if you had flushes like this....

Then it wouldn't bother me to try and read up a bit more
But yeh, I perfer the cubes in terms of overall work.
I'd just rather grow Azures or Cyans, simply because it's less to eat

That pic was from Ralph's tek, right? I know what you mean by eating less, but you also get MUCH less of a harvest with pan cyans and where I live it would be near impossible to grow azures.
I agree with Snaggle that most people (usually noobs) coming in here and asking "what's the most potent mushroom?" are the ones who have never truly experienced a level 5. 3 dry grams of my ole' reliable cubes is plenty enough to get me where I want to be. I'm not knocking the potency of other species, just wondering why so many people don't seem to find the potency of cubes adequate enough
